What We Build

Built around your workload.

A wash rig should fit the way you work — not the other way around. We design and build trailer-mounted, skid-mounted and vehicle-mounted systems for soft washing, pressure washing, or both on the one rig — right here in Auckland.

Every build starts with your jobs: how much product you carry, how far you run your hose, whether you need 12V, engine-driven or pressure pumps, one reel or three. From there we plan the tank capacity, pump configuration, reels, plumbing and layout, and fit it all the most practical way to suit your vehicle and system — so the rig is quick to set up, easy to work from all day, and built to last in the field.

And you've got two ways to get one: build your own from our parts with our advice, or have us build the whole thing for you — turn-key and ready to work.

What Goes Into a Build

The parts that make a rig.

Skid or frame

A skid, frame or trailer sized to your load. We prefer aluminium for its lighter weight and corrosion resistance, laid out so everything's in reach.

Tanks & mixing

Poly tanks sized to your day's work, with batch mixing or a blend manifold to dial in strength on the fly.

Pumps & power

12V soft wash pumps, engine-driven pumps, or pressure pumps — matched to the flow and pressure your jobs need, running off battery or a Honda engine.

Reels & hose

Single or multiple reels with the right hose lengths, so you reach the work without dragging gear around the site.

Plumbing & controls

Clean, serviceable plumbing, valves and injectors — laid out logically so it's simple to run and simple to fix.

Practical layout

Everything positioned for real work — controls to hand, and laid out as practical as can be to suit what it's being installed in.

How a Build Works

From idea to ready-to-work.

1. Consultation

We talk through your jobs, your vehicle and how you like to work, so the rig is designed around real requirements — not guesswork.

2. Design & quote

We spec the tank, pumps, reels, plumbing and layout, and give you a clear quote — plus honest advice on where to spend and where to save.

3. Built in Auckland

We build it in-house from quality components, assembled and checked so it's ready to earn from day one.

4. Handover

We hand it over ready to work — set up right and built with quality parts by people who actually use this gear.

Why Softwash Source

Rigs built by people
who run them.

  • Designed and built in-house in Auckland. Not imported flat-pack — planned, fabricated and assembled here to your spec.
  • Built by people who use them. We've run this gear in the field, so the layout and choices come from real experience, not a catalogue.
  • Quality components throughout. Honda, AR (Annovi Reverberi), BAR, Suttner and more — the parts that keep a rig earning.
  • Your rig, your way. Soft wash, pressure wash or both; trailer, skid or vehicle-mounted; build it yourself from our parts or have us build it for you.
FAQ

Custom build questions.

Do you build custom soft wash trailers and skids?

Yes — we design and build custom soft wash and pressure washing rigs in-house in Auckland: trailer-mounted, skid-mounted, or fitted into your ute, van or truck. Each is planned around your workload — tank capacity, pump configuration, reels, plumbing and layout. You can also build your own from our parts with our advice.

Should I get a trailer or a skid?

A trailer is a standalone towable unit you can hook to any vehicle and drop on site. A skid drops into a ute tray, van or truck, so the rig can move between vehicles and the vehicle stays usable when it's out. The right pick depends on your vehicle and how you work — talk to us and we'll help you choose.

Can one rig do both soft washing and pressure washing?

Yes — many operators run a dual setup, with a soft wash system for delicate surfaces and a pressure washer for hard surfaces, all on one trailer or skid. We plan the pumps, tanks, reels and plumbing so both run cleanly off the one rig.

How long does a custom build take?

It depends on the spec and parts on hand — a simple skid is quick, a full dual-purpose trailer takes longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe when we scope the build. Book a consultation to get started.
